Minnesota Urology P.A. has an immediate opening for a Clinic Supervisor at our Plymouth Clinic.  This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that will require availability Monday - Thursday from 9:00am - 5:00pm and on Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm.

This role would oversee three CMA's and three ancillary staff members including the day to day activities of the Plymouth, MN office location.

 

JOB TITLE: Clinic Supervisor (Nurse)

 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The Clinic Supervisor position is responsible for organizing and coordinating staff and resources to provide optimal, compassionate, patient-centered care in an efficient and effective manner through competent and compassionate staff.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Operations Manager

 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: LPNs, CMAs, MAs and Administrative Staff assigned within the Plymouth Clinic. This position is employed by the Urology Associates Division of Minnesota Urology P.A.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and maintain competent clinical staff through hiring, interviewing, coaching and providing performance feedback.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate appropriate training and proficiency testing for clinical staff.
  • Develop practices and behaviors to clinical staff that result in superior patient experiences for our patients.
  • Coordinate and Supervise Staff by creating staffing schedules, provider assignments, manage PTO approval, and time worked approvals.
  • Serve as primary resource for clinical nursing and patient care delivery issues encountered by clinical staff within their scope of practice.
  • Remain up-to-date and knowledgeable on Federal and State healthcare regulations and demonstrate adherence.
  • Develop, implement and ensure compliance to all Urology Associates policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a role model for teamwork by creating and promoting an atmosphere conducive to teamwork among team members and across teams.
  • Oversight, management and approval of office and clinical supply ordering to ensure proper and adequate inventory levels and product selection.
  • Monitor effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery services and staff, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct periodic staff meetings to promote communications and staff engagement.
  • Maintain clinical services equipment including maintenance and repair as required ensuring smooth operations for safe patient care.
  • Receive and resolve patient and staff concerns and complaints.
  • Provide patient care assisting providers with procedures and a variety of tasks including patient intake, providing patient education, and documenting information accurately in EMR.
  • Assist providers with special procedures including, Urodynamics, UroNav and TRUS biopsies.
  • Provide patient education, coordinates appropriate provider consultation and identifies resources to assist patients and their families.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Represent MN Urology in a professional manner including communication and the maintenance of confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze work methods to effectively organize work, make improvements and correct problems.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Current LPN, RN preferred
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience, specialty practice preferred.
  • Degree, certificate or demonstrated successful history of related experience in healthcare management.
  • Three plus years clinical staff supervision including scheduling
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point required.
  • Degree, certificate or related experience in quality improvement techniques and processes preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of clinical quality measure goal implementation and achievement a plus.
